"The president of my daughter;s university was welcoming the freshman class during their orientation. His phone rang.He answered and spoke. The students were insulted."
So we have need to know how to use cellular telephone.

Don't let your cell phone ring when sharing space with others.put it on vibrate. That means in a meeting,in a restaurant,on the train, etc. It's disturbing to others! Unbelievable but true.I was at a wedding and when the couple were saying their vows someone's cell phone went off!

If you are in a crowded area and receive a call, leave the room to talk,It's nebver good manners to broadcast your conversations.

If you are by yourself and think that you are far enough away from others, you still must remember to speak in your quiet,Normal voice. Don't shout ! It is a amazing how many people broadcast their conversations.

If you are doing the calling,Let the person you're speaking with know you're calling from your cell phone.Cellular telephone technology is good, but not perfect and you can suddenly be cut off.
Never discuss sensitive or confidential information on your cellular telephone.Eavesdropping technology is advanced too and you never know who might be standing by and listening.

Use extreme caution when using your cell phone in your car.Don't dial while you're driving.Unless you have a hands-free headset or speakerphone, wait until you've stopped. It's dangerous to hold a phone, talk and drive all at the same time. It's always a better idea to pull over to the side of the road or into a parking lot. When driving let voice mail answer your calls.Return them later.

Use a regular telephone for important calls and clients.A human resources director told me that a job candidate called on his cell phone to follow up after his interview. She could hear the traffic whooshing by and his phone cut out when he went under a bridge. In her mind,he was treating the call casually by not making the time or effort to call her from a regular phone.

You also need to check your cell phone messages regularly, even when you're in the office and using your regular phone.
